Saturday 10:00am-12:00pm  March 3, 2018
Join us for a special class about the Five Tibetan Rites of Rejuvenation, often referred to as The Five Tibetans. Using these yoga techniques can strengthen and align body and mind, and slow the aging process. Thus, this set of movements is also known as the secret of the fountain of youth.
In this class, Lorri will share the history of how these movements were brought to the West. She will introduce each rite as originally described and mindfully practice them. You will learn about Psychic Vortexes, the Chakra system, and how this information relates to a healthy body and mind.  Yoga experience is not required. However, those who have a personal yoga practice will recognize some of the movements as specific asana (postures). There will be time for practice and discussion. Handouts will be provided.
Please arrive with an open mind and an empty stomach.
These movements stimulate circulation and have a dramatically detoxifying effect. Those students with high blood pressure, chronic pain and/or injuries must be cautious; particularly those with shoulder and low back issues. There are no modifications, as such. We will begin slowly and work up to your own pace. However, some movements may seem difficult, at first. Those with heart conditions such as an enlarged heart or a heart valve problem, or who have suffered a heart attack in the last 3 months should not attempt these techniques without a doctor's explicit permission.

Series is $35.00 and you must pre-register.   Early bird registration is $30.00, must register by February 15th.  $30.00 for all Living Fit monthly members.

The Five Tibetans - An Ancient Secret of the Fountain of Youth Class  With Lorri Thompson

In this western culture of “more is better” many of us have lost touch with our innate cravings and our innate human intelligence that all creatures are born with. There is a myriad of ways we crave and hunger. We crave love,  belonging, security, connection, creativity and so on. Sometimes we fill those hungers with other things like Facebook, technology, food, alcohol, obsessing, shopping etc. This can make our relationship to ourselves painful, fearful and confused. Leading to feelings of isolation and low self-worth. Sometimes, when we fall into these feelings we get caught in a cycle of addiction, anxiety and depression. Life can become a series of strategies to manage these painful feelings.

There is hope to step out of the cycle. In this workshop we will begin a journey of recovery using yoga, pranayama, mindfulness and essential life skills to re-embody our 360-degree, WHOLE life!

Registration is $40/Early Bird by 1/25 $35 To register call Kerry 503-440-6308 and/or
